Reentry for Formerly Incarcerated People
The One Stop Shop Community Reentry Program Act of 2021 (H.R. 3372, S.1733) is a bipartisan bill that aims to implement funding for community-based reentry programs. In order to receive funding through this program, organizations must identify a community leader that has strong connections with the people they serve. The bill provides holistic reentry measures ranging from educational and job trainings, legal and financial counseling, and trauma informed and gender responsive care. Further, the bill would implement a reentry services hotline so that those seeking assistance may locate reentry resources with ease.
