Civics Education

The Civics Secures Democracy Act (H.R. 1814, S. 879) is a bipartisan legislative effort that will dedicate funding to primary, secondary, and tertiary educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and researchers to create and implement more comprehensive civics education across all of the United States. The bill also implements a standardized civics assessment through the National Assessment of Educational Progress, which will allow lawmakers and educators to have a more accurate and comprehensive snapshot of the state of civics education. Our belief is that quality civics education at early levels will equip students with better decision-making capacities and a stronger grasp on the democratic process.
